AN ACT relating to courts; revising provisions relating to the jurisdiction of justice courts in certain criminal cases;
Existing law provides that, with certain exceptions, in criminal cases, the jurisdiction of a justice of the peace extends to the limits of the county of the justice of the peace. (NRS 4.370) This bill creates an additional exception that extends the jurisdiction of a justice of the peace in the case of an arrest made by a member of the Nevada Highway Patrol.
